Fifteen reserves across the ACT will be closed during kangaroo management operations from 9 June to 31 July 2026. These reserves will be closed from 6pm to 6am, Sunday to Thursday. Find out more at the Kangaroo Management Program Data webpage.

Kama Nature Reserve can currently only be accessed via the Molonglo Valley Infrastructure Services (MVIS) management trail through the Molonglo River Reserve. The trail can be accessed from the Namarag Reserve car park or Apuatimi Crescent, Whitlam.
A temporary access route and parking area via Whitlam are expected to be available from March 2027, subject to the completion of Whitlam Stage 4A. A permanent car park is anticipated to be delivered by 2029.
A shared use path will provide recreational access between the Pinnacle and Kama Nature Reserves via an underpass as part of the William Hovell Drive Duplication Project.
