Caring for our parks

The ACT's parks and reserves protect natural vegetation, threatened or declining animal species and cultural heritage sites. Many also provide valuable wildlife movement corridors, connecting creatures with their broader region.

Please look after our parks, for nature's sake and our own.

Respect our parks by:

• staying on the tracks to minimise your impact
• taking your rubbish home with you
• leaving what you find, including plants, animals, rocks and timber (dead and alive)
• respecting our heritage - leave cultural sites undisturbed
• riding safely and following trail etiquette as a mountain bike rider or cyclist
• collecting and responsibly disposing of your dog's droppings
• cleaning your outdoor gear, including bicycles, to avoid spreading weeds and disease
