Get ready to pedal your way through ACT's scenic parks and reserves with our extensive managed bike trail network. Did you know we have 33 bike tracks in Namadgi National Park alone?
Many reserves are protected under the Nature Conservation Act 2014 which is why cycling and mountain biking are restricted to particular tracks including roads, management trails and multi-use tracks. Riding on single use tracks and off track is not permitted.
We want everyone to have a safe experience when riding in our parks and reserves. Please follow these safety tips before heading out on your bike ride:
- Stick to tracks where riding is permitted and do not ride off track
- Check the weather forecast before leaving home – if the forecast predicts a change in weather, be prepared with warmer clothes packed
- Take a back pack of essentials like water, snacks, hat, first aid kit, sunscreen, rain coat, bike repair kit, phone and map
- Check for alerts before your ride and observe all safety and closure notices when out on track
