Telopea District Park

An established urban park near Kingston

Telopea Park is an 8 hectare space in Barton with picnic and playground areas, cycle and pedestrian paths, public toilets and barbecues.

Created in 1922, Telopea Park takes its name from the floral emblem of NSW, more commonly known as the waratah (Telopea speciosissima).

It features an informal mix of mature exotic and native trees, and is a popular venue for family picnics. It attracts pedestrians and cyclists from Kingston and Manuka.

Dogs are welcome on-leash as outlined on the dog exercise area map and are prohibited within 10 metres of a public play space, fireplace or barbecue in use.
