The park wraps around the lake foreshore and offers a range of recreational opportunities including picnic sites, cycling, swimming, fishing, and boating. There is also an enclosed dog exercise area and a learn to ride centre.

The highly rated Tuggeranong Skate Park is located near the western boundary. It has sections for both beginners and experienced skaters with a small snake run, mini ramp, vertical ramp, funbox and a series of flat banks, transitions and hips. Alcohol is not permitted at the skate park.

A natural amphitheatre for large community activities is adjacent to Anketell Street.

Various upgrades are underway to enhance facilities and improve access.

Dogs are welcome in on-leash and off-leash areas as outlined on the dog exercise area map. They are prohibited within 10 metres of a public play space, fireplace or barbecue in use.
