Lake Ginninderra District Park

A recreational park on the foreshore of Lake Ginninderra

If you plan on swimming here, before you enter the water, always check the water quality report for this location and keep an eye out for signs or potential hazards when you arrive at the waterway.

Lake Ginninderra District Park is a large area designed for lakeside recreation.

The eastern part has a sandy beach, paddling enclosure, playground, picnic tables, barbecues, a public toilet and parking.

The western part has a sandy beach, swimming enclosure, boat launching ramp, learn to ride centre, barbecues, picnic tables, public toilets and a playground with shade sails.

It is a popular place for a family picnic amongst the planted native and exotic trees while observing the many species of water birds.

In the semi-natural landscape on the southern part of the peninsula, there are many walking trails. There is also a cycle path adjacent to the shoreline.

Fishing jetties are located on the western shore and near the southern tip of the peninsula.

There is an off-leash dog exercise area at Lake Ginninderra Peninsula.

Dogs are welcome on-leash in most areas of the park as outlined on the dog exercise area map. They are are prohibited within 10 metres of a public play space, fireplace or barbecue in use.
