Henry Rolland Park

Henry Rolland Park is located on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin between Commonwealth Avenue Bridge and West Basin in Parkes.

It is a popular spot for picnics along the water’s edge, where you can enjoy the barbecues and picnic tables. Henry Rolland Park also has an outdoor gym, seating, shade sails, and grassed areas that the whole family can enjoy.

Henry Rolland Park is the first stage of a long-term project to connect the city centre to Lake Burley Griffin.

There is also a bike path along the shore.

Dogs are welcome on-leash in most areas of the park as outlined on the dog exercise area map and are prohibited within 10 metres of playgrounds, fireplaces, fitness equipment, or barbecues that are in use.
