The Gibraltar Falls viewing platform and walking track remain closed until further notice to allow the ACT Government to complete signage and visitor safety infrastructure improvements at the site. A further update will be provided by mid 2025.

Pedestrian detours are in place and signposted along Charcoal Kiln Road for the Glenburn Heritage Trail Walk while forestry harvesting operations, truck loading and haulage takes place. The walk remains open but please follow all on-site signage.

Repairs on the Remembrance bridge on the Kokoda Trail (Mt Ainslie Summit Track) at Mount Ainslie Nature Reserve are taking place from Monday 4 August until Friday 8 August. Detours will be in place for people walking from Remembrance Park. Parking at the Cobby St carpark will still be open and the best way to access the Kokoda Trail during this time. All closures will be clearly signposted.

Rabbit control operations are taking place at Mount Pleasant Nature Reserve from 14 July until 8 August. Signage is in place to advise reserve users of activity and restrictions.

The Woolshed at Mulligans Flat Nature Reserve is closed until further notice to allow for maintenance repairs.

Upgrade works are taking place along Old Well Station Road. During works the road is closed to walkers and cyclists. Completion of these works is anticipated by early 2026.

The Red Hill Lookout Track will be closed from 16 June 2025 for trail upgrades. Completion of these works is anticipated by 22 August 2025.

The Black Flats carpark is closed while the area is undergoing essential flood gate maintenance. You can still access the dam during this time but only via the Sanctuary, Ribbon Gum car park.
